2008/09 Tennis Addiction Update
First and foremost the staff at Tennis Addiction would like to thank all of our members for their patronage and loyalty. We know the state of the economy has affected everyone including us. We’d like to show our appreciation by welcoming back our members in a special way. September will be “Member Appreciation Month”. We will be giving away cans of balls to each contract for the first week, our vendors (Wilson, Volkl/Becker, Head, and Gamma) have given us grips, water bottles, keychains, etc. to give to our members, and we will be handing out complimentary spring water along with refreshments in the morning and evening. In addition, we are renovating the club to make your visit even more pleasurable.
Now that we’ve purchased the commercial property behind the club, we can go ahead with our plans to build the outdoor facility. I am forming an investment group to go forward in 2009 and I will update you as we progress. The following improvements will be visible when you walk through the door in September:
A New Front Desk/Information Center
With all of our new programs at Tennis Addiction we’ve outgrown our existing front desk. Our new Information Center will accommodate 3 front desk staff and 2 computers making it easier to get you what you need when you need it. Our existing front desk will become the information center for the Pro Shop and demo racquets.
New Light Bulbs on the Tennis Courts
Although our old bulbs have not gone out, they do lose some of their brightness. Rather than wait until they start going one by one, we’ve decided to replace all 52 bulbs. There will be a noticeable difference.
Stereo speakers on the Tennis Courts
We are installing 4 state-of-the-art speakers on the courts. We will be able to turn them on and off and control the volume. We will only use them during parties, mixers, and some junior events. They will be hooked up to our Sirius satellite system.
Parking Lot Lights
We are re-wiring our parking lot lights to ensure enough brightness for the late night contract time players.
Power Washing the Courts
Right before labor day we will be power washing our courts. We’ve also purchased a new court cleaner... the Mercedes Benz of court cleaners so that the tennis courts will be in great shape for the indoor season.
New Paint and Photos
Similar to the Billie Jean King Stadium at the US Open Tennis Center we are decorating our walls with poster size pictures of tennis players... our juniors at Tennis Addiction. This will give the common area a clean, modern look. We are also painting the entire lobby to give it a fresh look and make our members more comfortable.
New Programs
We’ve recently added many new programs at our club that you may not know about:
1. Body Pump and Fitness Classes for all ages. A schedule can be found on the website or at the Information Center.
2. Silver Sneakers. We have the most successful 65-over fitness program in the entire state. Again, check our website or front desk.
3. Fall High School Training. We’ve added an 8 week program on Saturday mornings from 6-8am for high school students looking for an inexpensive way to get more indoor court time.
4. Massage. Check our website for information on our 2 massage therapists.
In general I’d like to personally thank all of our members for keeping us in business. I want everyone to know that we are putting money back into the club to anticipate your needs and heighten your experience at Tennis Addiction. Tennis Addiction is an indoor tennis and fitness facility located in Exton, PA. We have five newly surfaced tennis courts, which host members of all ages. A recently renovated full service fitness center known to members as the best kept secret in Chester County. The Newly Renovated group fitness studio features BodyPump, Barre Fushion, Kickboxing, Pilates and Yoga, and other cardio classes.
